Principal and Owner Jim Duerden.

Has been teaching sailing for the last twenty years. Not at weekends and days off. Its his job.

Teaching on anything from dinghys to 90 footers, including Monohulls catamarans and trimarans. 

Also in past life has worked as Flotilla skipper charter and delivery skipper.

He has a wide knowledge of all aspects of seamanship gained not from books but from being out there getting wet!

Qualifications. 
RYA/Dot Yachtmaster Ocean Instructor examiner

 Jim founded Top Cat Cruising School and  has been operating since 1993.
The school runs all RYA practical and theory courses and the Seanavigate correspondence  courses.
